Women are part of the family who have the role to become educators as well as the first actors who understand how to maintain quality of life through the creation of a healthy environment in the family environment. Therefore, women's empowerment about the environment needs to be given to women. The Samin community is one of the Javanese indigenous people who have the ancestor Samin Surosentiko as their traditional leader. The journey of the Samin community has existed since the beginning of the Dutch colonial period and has survived to the present. This study examines the role of Samin women in preserving the environment. This study uses a qualitative phenomenological method approach. Data collection through interviews, observations and live-ins in the village of Samin. The results of this study state that Samin women undertake activities to care for the earth as a form of preserving the values of leahur and protecting the natural resources that have provided for them. Through the Sumber Warih organization, Samin women play an active role in protecting and caring for their environment both at home and in the Kendeng Mountains.
A volunteer within the PMI organization is someone who carries out red cross activities either permanently or not in accordance with the basic principles of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement and is organized by the Indonesian Red Cross (PMI). There are no special characteristics that describe PMI volunteers, PMI volunteers consist of KSR members at universities, PMRs in elementary and middle schools and TSR from the community in general. This study uses a qualitative method of phenomenological description to see the factors of the altruism nature of Indonesian Red Cross volunteers in the Kudus district in disaster management. Collecting data using observation and interviews with 3 resource persons taken from PMI volunteers in Kudus district. Through this study, it was found that PMI volunteers in Kudus district had mood factors, empathy, belief in social justice, sociobiological factors and situational factors in accordance with existing theories by the altruism factorAbstrakRelawan dalam lingkungan organisasi PMI adalah seseorang yang melaksanakan kegiatan kepalangmerahan baik secara tetap maupun tidak tetap sesuai dengan prinsip-prinsip dasar Gerakan Palang Merah dan Bulan Sabit Merah Internasional serta diorganisasikan oleh Palang Merah Indonesia (PMI). Tidak ada ciri khusus yang menggambarkan relawan PMI, relawan PMI terdiri dari anggota KSR yang ada di universitas, PMR yang ada di sekolah dasar, dan menengah serta TSR yang berasal dari masyarakat secara umum. Dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskripsi fenomenologi untuk melihat faktor dari sifat altruisme relawan Palang merah Indonesia di akbupaten kudus dalam penanggulangan bencana. Pengambilan data menggunakan observasi dan wawancara terhadap 3 narasumber yang diambil dari relawan PMI yang ada di kaabupaten Kudus. Melalui penelitian ini, didapatkan hasil bahwa Relawan PMI kabupaten Kudus memiliki faktor suasana hati, empati, meyakini keadilan sosial, faktor sosiobiologi serta faktor situasional sesuai dengan teori yang telah ada oleh faktor Altruisme
