Purpose –The main purpose of the research is to reveal the place and significance of gastronomy tourism in destination marketing from the perspective of travel agencies. In this context, the aim is to identify geographically indicated and non-geographically indicated products in Nevşehir, to create a gastronomy route, to organise gastronomic events and to promote Nevşehir as a gastronomy city. Design/methodology/approach –In the research in which the qualitative method was adopted, phenomenology was set as the research design. Fifteen people were interviewed using the criterion sampling method. The data obtained from the interviews were subjected to content analysis and descriptive analysis using the Maxqda 20 programme. Findings –Three main themes were identified as a result of the analyses: gastronomic products, gastronomic routes and gastronomic events. Geographically indicated, non-geographically indicated, local restaurants, local product sales points, places where local products are harvested, home-cooking tours, food and beverage themed festivals and cooking courses are the identified sub-themes. The most frequently coded main theme was the main theme of gastronomic products. Discussion –In addition to cultural and balloon tourism in Nevşehir, the development of gastronomy tourism is expected to increase the number of visitors to the destination and contribute to higher revenues for tourism stakeholders.
In this study, it is aimed to reveal the current situation and development level of publications made within the scope of cultural heritage tourism and digitalization in international literature. Studies on cultural heritage tourism and digitalization in the international literature between 1975-2021 were examined within certain parameters. Scientific studies on the subject were revealed by scanning the Web of Science (WOS) database. As a result of the searches, a total of 264 scientific publications on "Cultural Heritage Tourism and Digital and Digitalization" were found. The data were subjected to bibliometric analysis using the VOSviewer program. All publications were classified according to many criteria such as "number of publications, publication types, publication years, authors, countries, languages, research areas, places of publication, citations, institutions" and the data obtained were tabulated. In addition, "the most collaborating authors, institutions, countries, the most used keywords, the most cited authors, documents, sources and countries" were subjected to bibliometric analysis in studies on the subject of "Cultural Heritage Tourism and Digital and Digitalization". It is thought that the findings obtained from the study will contribute to this field and shed light on the researchers who are interested in the subject, especially since a limited number of studies have been conducted within the scope of cultural heritage tourism and digitalization.
As a concept, development was evaluated only as an economic goal until the 1970s, and its physical, social, and cultural environment elements were ignored and left in the background. The concept of development has turned into a sustainable development phenomenon, which includes physical, social, and cultural factors, as people notice environmental pollution over time. Sustainable development, which integrates the mission of many industries interacting with the environment, has also gained ground in the tourism industry and has led to sustainable tourism understanding. Therefore, destinations have developed different tourism types within the sustainable tourism framework. Ecotourism has come to the forefront as a tourism type that can minimize physical, social, and cultural damage of tourism to the environment. Therefore, the current study, aiming to reveal the impact of ecotourism on sustainable development, covered the subjects of sustainability, sustainable development, sustainable tourism, ecotourism, and the relationship between sustainable development and ecotourism.
Bu çalışmanın amacı Nevşehir'in mevcut varlık ve faaliyetlerinin neler olduğunu tespit etmek, bu varlık ve faaliyetlerin şehir markalaşmasında ne derece etkili ve yeterli olduğunu belirleyerek Nevşehir'in markalaşma sürecine fayda sağlamaktır. Bu amaçla bir şehrin marka şehir olması yolunda ön plana çıkarılması gereken varlık ve faaliyetlerde merkezi eğilim ölçüleri gibi istatistiksel analiz yöntemleri kullanılmıştır. Nevşehir'in marka şehir olması için sahip olması ve geliştirilmesi gereken varlık ve faaliyetlerin belirlenmesi amacıyla daha önce bu konu ile ilgili yapılan çalışmalar ve odak grup görüşmeleri sonucu oluşturulan bir soru formu kullanılmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda Nevşehir'in marka şehir olması yolunda sahip olması gereken varlık ve faaliyetlerin şehir yönetimi ve alt yapı, kültür, tarihi miras ve doğal güzellikler, eğitim ve spor/aktivite, yatırım ve şehirleşme, üst yapı, gastronomi, konukseverlik ve beşeri kaynaklar ve ulaşılabilirlik olduğu tespit edilmiştir.
