The aim of this study is to examine Social Studies teacher candidates' self-efficacy perceptions towards the teaching profession in terms of some variables (gender, grade, grade point average, type of high school, educational status of parents, etc.). Social Studies teacher candidates constitute the universe of the study. The sample is comprised of a total of 208 teacher candidates studying in the first, second, third and fourth grades of Balıkesir University Necatibey Faculty of Education, Social Studies Teaching Department in the fall semester of the 2019-2020 academic year. The research is in the descriptive model and the questionnaire developed by the researcher was used as the data collection tool.
