Gambir extract is the extraction result of gambir plant (Uncaria gambir) which contains polyphenol compounds. The gambir extract encompasses catechins which act as antimicrobials and antioxidants. The nanoemulgel formulation in this study utilized 9% gambir extract (Uncaria gambir) as the active ingredient and 1% Black Soldier Fly (BSF) maggot oil as the oil phase in the manufacture of nanoemulsions. The emulsification method was administered by implementing a magnetic stirrer with a spontaneous mixing technique.
