91 American student nurses were more accurate in their knowledge about suicide than 147 Philippine student nurses. However, the American nurses were incorrect on roughly 25% of the items on average, indicating that increased education about suicide would be of benefit to them.

Scores on depression and locus of control, age, and gender were not related to possessing accurate information about suicide in samples from three nations ( ns = 165, 100, and 147).
