This chapter addresses waste and energy management in tourism, hospitality and events (THE) facilities. It discusses the implementation of energy and waste management in the design, construction and operation of THE facilities with the driver to generate resource and cost efficiencies. This includes a THE waste management programme that requires THE facilities to embrace the preparation, implementation and evaluation phases in their practices. The chapter also provides a range of examples for renewable energy management and efficiency.
