In this paper, an analysis study of two encryption algorithms applied to texts is carried out in order to evaluate their robustness in terms of security. The first is the classical cryptosystems known as, respectively, Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) and Data Encryption Standard (DES). The second comes from the study of chaotic systems by using the Tent map. Experimental results and their analysis show that chaotic encryption algorithm is more secure and high efficiency compared to classical algorithms. In addition, the chaotic system present a good encryption speed.

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
