Seni pertunjukan tradisional memuat beragam unsur kearifan lokal masing-masing etnisnya. Demikian juga dengan seni pertunjukan tradisional randai dari Minangkabau. Falsafah adat dan agama yang dianut masyarakat Minangkabau terhimpun dalam randai. Namun, sampai saat ini kajian terhadap randai Minangkabau masih dominan pada aspek etika dan estetika sebagai seni tari dan seni pertunjukan teater. Kajian kearifan lokal budaya Minangkabau dalam randai masih sedikit dieksplorasi. Dilatarbelakangi hal tersebut, penelitian ini bertujuan menggali dan menganalisis unsur-unsur kearifan lokal budaya Minangkabau yang terdapat dalam seni pertunjukan tradisional randai. Proses penelusuran literatur dan penelaahan kembali berbagai hasil kajian randai, baik dari aspek estetika gerak dan tari, musik, gerak silat, lakon, dan naskah cerita menghasilkan simpulan bahwa randai Minangkabau memuat ragam unsur kearifan lokal yang bersumber dari ajaran agama, adat, serta falsafah alam. Temuan ini membuktikan bahwa masyarakat Minangkabau adalah masyarakat yang kaya akan seni tradisi dan berkehidupan dilandasi oleh ajaran agama, adat, serta kepedulian terhadap alam semesta.
Understanding poetry is at the stage of enjoying poetry in the activity of appreciating poetry. From the stage of enjoying this poem, poetry lovers can determine their attitude towards the poetry that is read or heard. By integrating reading and writing, poetry readers can enjoy poetry in depth. Therefore, this study aims to describe the potential of the CIRC learning model in influencing the ability to understand poetry. A total of 28 male and female students were selected as participants in the study. The instrument used to collect research data is a multiple choice test understanding poetry. The method used was preexperiment with the design of one group pretest-posttest study. The CIRC model in this study is used in the process of poetry learning. This model is used by the way the lecturer places students in cooperative learning activities according to the learning objectives, students understand the subject matter together in groups by way of reading to each other and finding keywords according to the learning objectives and presenting the results of group collaboration in the form of class discussions. Group discussions and class discussions provide opportunities for students to voice their opinions about the contents of poetry. Students who have low abilities are motivated to learn because of teamwork. The CIRC model has the potential to improve student language skills, improve social skills among students, and have a positive impact on reading comprehension, especially understanding poetry.
This research is motivated by the problem of gender-based violence against women which is represented again by Wisran Hadi in the novel Orang-orang Blanti. Based on the urgency of reviewing this problem, this study aims to analyze the forms of acts of violence experienced by the female characters in the novel and their actions as an effort to resist. The research method used to study these problems is a qualitative method with descriptive content analysis techniques. The findings of the research show that a) the acts of violence experienced by the female characters in the novel Orang-orang Blanti include physical violence and psychological violence; and b) the efforts of female leaders to fight against this act of violence by tracing the background of the perpetrator s actions, rewriting the victim s biography, and rejecting socio-cultural policies that harmed her.
