The determination of kinetic and equilibrium constants of the adsorption process is an important step to evaluate the efficiency of the industrial process. In this work, the analysis was carried out innovatively, by proposing analytical solutions for the partial differential equations that describe the adsorption of sulfamethoxazole on Pirangi clay. The equations proposed here provide a global description of the process and a software with a simplified visual environment was created to facilitate the determination of kinetic constants.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
