International audiencePropagation channel models play an essential role for proper computer performance evaluation of the Vehicle to Vehicle, and Vehicle to Infrastructure (V2X) communication systems. Several stochastic, tapped delay line channel models are proposed in the literature. These involve either Rice and Rayleigh distributed taps or Weibull distributed, correlated, and non-stationary taps. This paper focuses on the latter case. It discusses methods for simulating the Weibull fading complex envelope, and suggests the necessity to deal with a non-uniform phase distribution in order to assess the performance level of the V2X communication
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
