The body burdens of 90Sr in nine luminizers were determined in the time period of 900-2600 days following intake by excretion analysis using a power function; the power of the time in days b = 0.412 & 0.072 was ascertained.A method is suggested for combining these results of analysis of the middle phase of the strontium retention with the results of the early phase. Using the data of BISHOP e6 ul.(l) to describe the early phase leads to the exponent 6 = 0.304 f 0.013, and to theinitial correction E = 0.259 f 0.077 days for the retention power function in Marshall's modified form. (6) The terminal biological half-life for the late phase of retention is estimated to be T = 9000 rt 1100 days by the use of the data available on stable strontium@) as well as the parameters b and E and using the valuef, = 20%. The three parameters b, E and T describe the retention of strontium during the whole course according to the relation
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
