IntroductionThree major methods of implementing processors to control an adaptive array are considered i n the existing literature C11. These are the sample matrix inversion technique, the correlation loop processor algorithm and the modified random search technique. This paper presents a new form o f processing based upon the use of a nonlinear control loop.Even if the processing differs from other methods, i t i s , nevertheless, based upon the well-known technique of steepest descent.B u t f i r s t , a review of the control law for nonlinear loops m i g h t prove useful.
