A expectativa da redução das reservas de fontes não renováveis, bem como a crescente preocupação com a preservação ambiental, vêm incentivando a substituição desses recursos e tecnologias convencionais na geração de energia elétrica por alternativas de maior desempenho e/ou fontes renováveis. Nesse âmbito, a gaseificação do carvão mineral está ganhando espaço devido à evoluções tecnológicas, que possibilitam a geração de energia elétrica de maneira limpa e com maior eficiência quando comparada com as consolidadas usinas termelétricas. A partir destas premissas, este trabalho abordará o crescimento da demanda energética nacional, uma análise dos custos de implantação da tecnologia IGCC e um comparativo econômico com outros meios de geração limpa.
The generation of energy for thermoelectric has the benefit of not relying on environmental situations, as in the case of hydropower that can be influenced by the effects of weathering on the high or low level of its water reservoirs. However, the thermoelectric plants can bring harm to the environment by the emission of particulate material into the atmosphere. Filters of various principles can be used for containment of those fly ashes, as the cyclone filter. Given the relatively low costs involved this is widely used in a industrial scale and, for having a greater scope for gains in efficiency, will be addressed during this exposed. Is this article, it’s contemplated the study of the influence of the system’s variables, such as flow velocity of the gas inlet and the diameter of the particles suspended therein. It must be said that this study aims to technical study the filter, not normally considered the economic feasibility of possible changes and implementations; as such factors may serve as a disincentive to finding new methods and technology, which, since then, must be evaluated economically.
Abstract.The expectation of reducing reserves of non-renewable resources, as well as the growing concern for environmental preservation has been encouraging the substitution of conventional resources and technologies in electricity generation by alternatives for higher performance and / or renewable sources. In this context, the gasification of coal is gaining ground because of technological developments, enabling the generation of electricity cleanly and with greater efficiency when compared with consolidated thermoelectric plants. From these premises, this paper will address the national energy demand growth, cost analysis and deployment of IGCC technology comparison with other economic means of generating clean.
