RESUMOO carrapato Amblyomma rotundatum é uma espécie partenogenética, encontrada principalmente em anfíbios e répteis silvestres em todos os biomas brasileiros. No presente relato, registra-se a ocorrência de dois machos dessa espécie de ixodídeo encontrados em um jabuti-tinga (Chelonoidis denticulatus) proveniente do município de Manaus, Amazonas, Brasil.
