This article is not aimed ad giving a thorough analysis of the sense involvement. Its primary purpose is to offer an epistemological prospect speaking of the « sense » entails distinguishing categories suchs as validity, relevance, legitimacy, fruitfulness of « sens proposals ». The « sense » concept varies in meaning according to the contexts in which it appears : the ordinary language, natural and human sciences, the field of ethics, the theological reflection appearing in every day life. Sometimes regarded as totalitarian, and therefore attacked, nevertheless the Christian theological approach is very relevant in our splitslevels society : references to the First and to the New Testament are emphasizing the meaning of the Covenant and the break with all forms of idolizations. Another paper will focus on the meaning of a Christian theological thinking in a frame of the Church within the every day context.
