The purpose of this version is to provide a consistent standard that can accommodate all types of digital log data and non-log borehole data, providing a more robust standard for data exchange and storage, and to increase the applicability of LAS files.Input from industry is requested to ensure that the final specifications meet the needs of users and data managers. We anticipate that the final specifications will achieve wide acceptance, as were the previous versions.
