ABSTRACT Introduction. This study aims to determine whether the librarian's communication style at the State Islamic University Library of Sulthan Thaha Saifuddin Jambi affects the interest of visiting visitors. This is based on the importance of communication which is a basic need of humans as social beings, and an important part of the library, especially in serving users. Data Collection Method. This study uses quantitative methods with data collection techniques used, namely questionnaires, observation, and documentation. The questionnaire in this study used a Likert scale. The population of this research is 8129 active students and the sample used is 99. The sample technique of this research uses incidental sampling technique. Data Analysis. The data analysis technique used descriptive data analysis with simple regression analysis techniques. To determine the presence or absence of influence in this study using hypothesis testing. Result and Discussion. The results of this study are the librarian's communication style variable obtained a score percentage of 78.29% which means that the influence of the librarian's communication style is in the very high category. The variable of visiting interest obtained a percentage score of 80.24%, which means that visiting interest is in the high category. Based on the results of the regression test, there is an influence between the librarian's communication style on visiting visitors' interest. This is shown by the linear regression equation Y = 6.510 + 0.808X and the t value of 8,985 and the significant value of 0.001. The regression results can be seen that the t value is 8,985 with a significant value of 0,000 <0.10, then Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. Conclusions. Based on the research that has been done on the strong relationship between the librarian's communication style and visiting interest. With the librarian's communication style provided, it makes it easy for users to communicate with librarians to meet the information needs needed by the users.
Kabun is a traditional farming system commonly practiced by people in Katingan District, Central Kalimantan. Land management carried out by the people of Katingan District since long ago using shifting cultivation. This farming system is an agroforestry system. The existence of "kabun" is expected as one of the mitigations of climate change, by maintaining the vegetation in the "kabun." The purpose of this study is to predict carbon storage of "kabun" as well as the history of management in the Buntut Bali Village, Pulau Malan subdistrict, Katingan District, Central Kalimantan. This research was carried out destructively for understorey and litter, and nondestructive for tree biomass and woody necromasses were carried out in 3 observation plots. In the observation plot 1 was obtained carbon stocks of 88.915 tons/ha, the presence of tree biomass contributed to carbon reserves of 81.263 tons/ha; plot of observations of the 2 carbon stocks obtained was 66,928 tons / ha, the most significant contribution of carbon stocks came from tree biomass 61,209 tons/ha; The plot of observations of the 3 carbon stocks was obtained at 72,375 tons/ha, and the biomass contribution of trees was 65,643 tons / ha.
Ekstrak kunyit (Curcuma longa L.) memiliki warna kuning dan kesumba keling memiliki warna jingga dapat digunakan sebagai bahan pewarna pada pembuatan lipstik alami. Lipstik dengan pewarna alami diperlukan untuk mengurangi ketergantungan akan pewarna sintetis dan keamanan bagi kesehatan kulit. Rancangan penelitian pada pembuatan lipstik alami adalah perbedaan konsentrasi pewarna dari campuran ekstrak kunyit dan kesumba keling. Metodepengujian yang dilakukan untuk lipstik ini yaitu uji kekuatan, uji oles, uji iritasi, dan uji stabilitas plastik. Hasil pengujian untuk uji kekuatan yaitu pada sampel lipstik dengan konsentrasi warna 2% sampel ini tidak patah. Sampel lipstik dengan konsentrasi warna 4% dan 6% menjadi patah. Uji oles untuk 4 kali oles menunjukkan semakin besar konsentrasi pewarna menghasilkan warna yang lebih jingga. Sedangkan olesan 5 kali dan 6 kali pada berbagai perlakuan tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap warna lipstik yang dihasilkan yaitu jingga. Uji iritasi pada lipstik pada semua perlakuan tidak menghasilkan reaksi yaitu tidak menimbulkan kemerahan dan hasil uji kesukaan menunjukkan bahwa panelis menyukai lipstik dengan nilai 4,8 dari skala penilaian 6. Uji stabilitas lipstik menunjukkan tekstur lipstik agak keras, warna menjadi jingga cerah dan baunya menjadi kurang berbau kunyit dan kesumba keling setelah didiamkan selama 4 minggu.
