Disruptive technologies have fundamentally revolutionized traditional banking, changing the banking landscape around the world. Today, banking is no longer confined to going to traditional bank locations because electronic banking experience has grown so significantly and is increasing daily. Although a variety of digital products and services, including internet banking, NEFT, RTGS, and mobile banking, have entered the Indian banking system and completely altered how transactions are conducted, ATM banking, one of the first e-banking tools, continues to be one of the most popular modes in the country. The paper looks into the reasons for the same and along with also finds out the growth and importance of ATMs in India. The study recommends continued usage of ATMs in India based on its analysis of the impact of ATMs and debit card transactions on banks' net interest income using the log-log regression technique.
