the research in Mobile Ad-hoc Network remains winsome due to the crave to obtain better performance and scalability. Mobile ad hoc network is an unstructured selfforming radio mesh of moving nodes. There is no median approach for interaction of mobile nodes. In MANET nodes are mobile in nature and it became challenging to handle them while preserving the energy. Misbehavior, Mobility, Congestion are some factors that always degrade the performance of network.In this paper we propose a WSEEC (Weightage based Secure Energy Efficient Clustering) algorithmic approach towards energy efficient clustering and security of nodes. The aim of this algorithm is to build secure and energy efficient cluster head. Where rely value of each node is calculated to know the behavior of the node. The performance of proposed WSEEC algorithm is compared with WCA under five metric such as a Network life time, Energy consumption, throughput, delay and packet delivery ratio.
Objectives: Despite the problem being present in every corner of our country, research studies are scarce on the topic of the abandonment of fetuses or newborns. In this light, this research seeks to look at the prevalence and autopsy profiling into the cases of abandonment of newborns/fetuses and the possible suggestions. Methods: The present 10 years prospective study was conducted to observe the profiling of the abandoned newborns/fetuses after taking permission from the institutional ethical committee. The records of all the medico-legal autopsies conducted under 317 IPC at Government Medical College, Amritsar, from January 2014 to February 2023, were analyzed. Results: The total number of autopsy cases conducted under 317 IPC. In the present study, 02 (9.1%) females were known cases, while among the unknown cases, there 06 (27.3%) were males and 14 (63.6%) were female. Most cases were females, 16 (72.7%) and 6 (27.3%) were males. The maximum number of cases reported in 2019 was 4 (18.2%), while 03 (13.6%) were reported in 2016 and 2021, respectively. The most common were homicidal deaths in 14 (63.6%) cases, followed by natural deaths in 5 (22.7%) cases, and the cause of death could not be ascertained in 3 (13.7%) cases. Conclusion: Whatever the reason or motive for the newborn or fetuses’ abandonment, this issue needs urgent attention.
Background: Injuries due to road traffic injuries (RTIs) depend upon various factors that include human, vehicle and environmental factors that plays a vital role before, during and after a fatal vehicular accident. Road traffic injuries involve high human suffering and monetary costs in terms of ultimately deaths, injuries and loss of potential income. Aims and Objective: The aims and objective of study was to study the incidence of death due to road traffic injuries, demographic profile including various contributary factors of victims and vehicles and to analyse the magnitude of deaths.Material & Methods:The present retrospective and cross sectional study was conducted in Forensic Medicine & Toxicology Department, Government Medical College, Amritsar. All the autopsies conducted on road traffic injuries victims during the period from Jan, 2016 to Dec, 2020 were studied. Results:Majority of cases taken up for study were males (80%) followed by females (20%), majority cases belonged to the age group of 21 -30 years (34.72%). The majority of cases (70.61 %)that met with road traffic injury happened at evening time period. Head injury was the cause of death in 42.45% cases followed by 33.88% cases having multiple injuries.Conclusions:Motorization though has enhanced the lives in this era but that has come up with some price. High priority is demanded towards the alarming rate of human loss due to RTIs. Awareness at every level including the strict formation of policies that would prevent such RTIs in future.
