To identify structural requirements of this isoflavonone for its inhibitory activity against IL-5, isoflavonones (Ib), (Id), (Ie), isoflavanones (IIb), and their glycosides (Ic) and (IIa) are prepared via conventional synthetic pathways. -(JUNG*, S.-H.; CHO, S.-H.; DANG, T. Synthesis of (S)-(+)-Decursin and Its Analogues as Potent Inhibitors of MelaninFormation in B16 Murine Melanoma Cells. -Structural modification of the anticancer compound decursinol leads to a series of compounds possessing in vitro inhibitory potencies against α-MSH induced melanin production in B16 murine melanoma cells. The highly potent melanin inhibitors (I) having no cytotoxicity could serve as valuable leads for the treatment of dermatological disorders and in the development of cosmetic whitening agents. -(LEE, K.; LEE, J.-H.; BOOVANAHALLI, S.
