This paper proposes a review of the main characteristics and parameters that have to considered modelling a photovoltaic module. For the study it will be left from the photovoltaic cell, fundamental element of the conversion of light to electrical current. Also, a photovoltaic model using Matlab, which can be representative of PV cell and module, is presented. The created model has been based on previous studies. With the information of those previous models, curves IV and PV have been calculated comparing the results to each other. Also, the MPP of all the models has been calculated. Finally, the model has been validated with experimental data of a commercial PV module, Mitsubishi PV-TD1185MF5.
This paper presents the analysis of influence of different loads, when these loads are connected to a small photovoltaic system. By means of tests, the interactions between the photovoltaic system and the different loads is visualized and analyzed. To achieve this goal, a sequence of starts and stops is established that are repeated with all the loads. Different parameters and wave forms have been registered to analyse the influence on the power quality. This process allows comparing the behaviour of each load in the electric network. In next future, the measured values will be used to contrast results obtained by means of simulations.
This paper presents the performance simulator of photovoltaic systems, developed through the software tool DigSilent PowerFactory. The study of this type of electrical generation is analyzed, modeling its capacities with advanced algorithms, from a totally flexible system and with unique concept of database. This modelling work allows an easy and fast access to the analysis and design of photovoltaic systems, which facilitates a complete vision of system's behavior in different operation conditions. In addition, a library of models of the main alternatives that can be included in a photovoltaic conversion system has been made.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
