Acupressure in Oriental medicine is used as a core therapeutic method due to its therapeutic efficacy and minimal side-effects. However, microcurrent stimulation, combined with acupressure and grounding, has not been studied under acupressure conditions in terms of how this combination might affect acupressure therapy's effectiveness. This paper clarifies the new concept of acupressure stimulation combined with a microcurrent that generates electron flow during earthing. In grounding the body, there is free electron movement from and to the body that creates microcurrent. Acupressure uses these currents to activate specific acupoints for therapeutic purposes and activating these acupoints adjust the imbalance between Qi across channels (meridians) and ultimately treat diseases. It is time for proper research and implementation of this technique to increase acupressure efficacy and reduce society's cost.
The best way to deliver a drug in pursuit of maximum potential is to deliver it with maximal bioavailability. There are many options in delivering a drug, but each way reduces the drug's bioavailability differently. For treating localized discomfort, the transdermal approach or the topical approach is considered to be an advantageous one mainly because of its rapid localized action and the fewest side effects associated with this route. Drug delivery through topicals is an easy-to-reach approach and, in most cases, bypasses the first-pass metabolism. However, under certain conditions, the drug either needs to be delivered in its unaffected, concentrated form or needs to be delivered deeper into the dermal layers of the skin with immediate effect. This paper will review and suggest all those possible ways through which topical drug delivery can be universally enhanced in rate, effectiveness, and efficiency. Specialized ultrasound waves and sub-spectrum far-infrared heat help accelerate and deliver topical ingredients to the site of action. Making this the basis of our argument, we shall see in detail why they help achieve the desired results and why both these methods should be adapted in a combined approach to deliver the drug to the precise site of action through the topical or transdermal approach. Furthermore, Cannabidiol (CBD) is a model drug in this paper due to its faster absorption rate and outnumbered measurable benefits.
Massage is a popular complementary and alternative medicine (CAM) treatment. In recent years, deep tissue massage (DTM) has grown in popularity. As a result, DTM with grounding should be examined as any other treatment method to determine its safety and efficacy. Massage can help to reduce inflammation, speed up recovery, and relieve muscle pain. We study beneficial mechanisms in this paper by combining the idea of grounding with the massage. Grounding massage has been shown to help stabilize the physiology of the body, inflammation, reduce pain, enhance sleep, as well as stress, increase stamina and blood flow, and improve health by reconnecting the body with the electrostatic forces of the Earth. By modulating inflammatory signaling pathways, this mechanism can reduce collateral sprouting, secondary injury, and nerve sensitization, leading to better damage recovery and pain avoidance. On the other hand, deep tissue massage has long been used as a key therapeutic therapy in Traditional Medicine because of its low side effects and therapeutic efficacy. This paper examines the possibility of deep tissue massage with earthing as a simple and widely available technique with significant clinical value.
The main goals of acute and long-term skincare are the protection and improvement of skin health and integrity. Skincare involves several procedures that help maintain the skin's integrity, improve its appearance, and alleviate skin problems. Proper blood flow is in dire need for the skin to absorb vital ingredients. There are many conventional treatments to help increase blood flow and recently it was discovered that connecting the with the electrical charges of the Earth, or “Grounding” can promote healthy blood flow in the facial region. Additionally, such effects of grounding do not seem limited to the facial region but are rather systemic, essential and are often quickly observable. Grounding also seems to reduce secondary injury, collateral sprouting, and nerve sensitization. In grounded patients, an increase in blood flow was clearly seen when compared directly to ungrounded subjects. The results of documented studies explain that even short contact with the Earth helps to restore blood flow regulation suggesting enhanced skin tissue repair and improved skin appearance with possible implications for overall health.
Multidisciplinary studies showed that when the human body is electrically in contact with the Earth (earthing or grounding), it produces intriguing consequences on the physiology and health of the human being. These effects are related to treating acute and chronic inflammatory and autoimmune illnesses, immunological responses, wound treatment, and prevention. At the same time, acupuncture in Traditional Medicine has been widely utilized for its low side effects and therapeutic effectiveness as primary therapeutic therapy. However, the electrical reaction to acupuncture stimulation has not been investigated in conditions with acupuncture that could alter acupuncture therapeutic effectiveness. The study's objective is to inform scientists of the apparent innovative approach to inflammation studies; and alert researchers to the importance of the duration and the degree of grounding, which may affect the results of inflammation, injury, and tumorigenesis studies. Grounding with acupuncture decreases pain and changes the quantity of circulating neutrophils and lymphocytes and circulating chemical substances linked to inflammation. This work reviews the potential of acupuncture with earthing as an easy and readily accessible worldwide modality of substantial clinical importance is reviewed in this work.
