PENDAHULUANMenurut Undang-undang RI Nomor 10 Tahun 1998 tentang perubahan Undangundang Nomor 7 Tahun 1992, Bank adalah badan usaha yang menghimpun dana dari masyarakat dalam bentuk simpanan dan menyalurkannya kepada masyarakat dalam bentuk kredit atau bentuk-bentuk lainnya dalam rangka meningkatkan taraf hidup rakyat banyak.Sebagai lembaga keuangan kegiatan bank sehari-hari tidak terlepas dari bidang keuangan. Untuk menganalisa dan menilai posisi keuangan dan mengetahui seberapa jauh kemampuan bank dalam menghasilkan keuntungan atau laba. Maka diperlukan keefektifan kegiatan operasional bank, yang dapat diketahui melalui rasio profitabilitas.Profitabilitas merupakan hasil akhir bersih dari berbagai kebijakan dan keputusan dimana rasio ini digunakan sebagai alat pengukur atas kemampuan perusahaan untuk memperoleh keuntungan dari setiap rupiah penjualan yang dihasilkan (Widarjo & Setiawan, 2009). Sehingga hasil rasio profitabilitas dapat dijadikan gambaran tentang efektivitas kinerja bank ditinjau dari laba bersih yang diperoleh dibandingkan dengan biaya pendapatannya. <p><em>The existence of Rural Banks (BPR) in assisting the development and economic progress of the community, especially in rural areas is very important. The purpose of this article is to examine and analyze the factors that determine the performance of the profitability of conventional rural banks in West Sumatra. To test the effect of each variable CAR, LDR, BOPO, and NPL on profitability (ROA) statistical methods and data processing are used with the SPSS program. The type of data used is secondary data obtained from Bank Indonesia, namely the conventional BPR Publication Report in West Sumatra in 2012-2016. The population in this study is conventional BPR in West Sumatra and the sample is taken by purposive sampling method, so that 85 observations are obtained. Data were analyzed using multiple linear regression. Based on the results of the study found that the internal factors of the bank CAR, LDR, BOPO and NPL have a significant effect on the profitability (ROA) of conventional BPR in West Sumatra.</em></p><p> </p><p>Keberadaan Bank Perkreditan Rakyat (BPR) dalam membantu perkembangan dan kemajuan ekonomi masyarakat terutama di wilayah pedesaaan sangat penting. Tujuan dari artikel ini adalah untuk menguji dan menganalisis faktor-faktor yang menjadi penentu kinerja profitabilitas BPR konvensional di Sumatera Barat (Sumbar). Untuk menguji pengaruh dari masing-masing variabel CAR, LDR, BOPO, dan NPL terhadap profitabilitas (ROA) digunakan metode statistik dan pengolahan data dengan program SPSS. Jenis data yang digunakan adalah data sekunder yang diperoleh dari Bank Indonesia yakni Laporan Publikasi BPR konvensional di Sumbar tahun 2012 – 2016. Populasi dalam penelitian ini BPR konvensional di Sumatera Barat dan pengambilan sampel dengan <em>purposive sampling method,</em> sehingga diperoleh sebanyak 85 pengamatan. Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan regresi linear berganda. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ditemukan bahwa faktor-faktor internal bank CAR, LDR, BOPO dan NPL berpengaruh signifikan terhadap profitabilitas (ROA) BPR konvensional di Sumatera Barat.</p>

Bank Nagari Cabang Padang are among others, first, prospective borrowers apply for credit. second, the marketing department checks the completeness of the document. Third, conduct a business location review. Fourth, if credit is agreed, the legal officer will be given an order to the notary section and a notary credit agreement is made, only after that is a credit search.

Customer Service plays a very important role in providing services and is intended to always connect with customers and keep the relationship good. This of course must be done because maintaining a good relationship with customers also means maintaining the bank's image so that the bank's image can continue to increase in the eyes of customers. That the role of Customer Service in increasing customer loyalty is very important through the services provided by the Customer Service department. Customer Service in the form of providing convenience to customers.
Liquidity Level of PT. BPD West Sumatra from 2012 to 2014 looks very good and very efficient. Based on the calculation of the current ratio and cash ratio, the level of liquidity of PT. BPD West Sumatra shows that the company's liquidity is above the industry average ratio of 200%.Leverage level (solvability) of PT. BPD West Sumatra in 2012 to 2014 looked very good, because the company's leverage (solvability) was above the industry average ratio. This shows that assets owned by the company are very dependent on the debt that is in the company.The level of profitability of PT. BPD West Sumatra from 2012 to 2014 is uncertain from year to year. This increase and decrease occurred due to a decrease in net income from 2012 to 2013 and increased again in 2014, so there was an increase in assets. When viewed from the level of overall profitability it is less effective, because GPM and ROI are still below the industry average ratio, but for NPM, ROE, and ROA it is above the industry average ratio.
