The NCTU PCU-3-02 10-megapixel 4K2K (max. 4160x2464) LCoS panels with LCM-1107 nematic LC were assembled and evaluated. The results of both 1.2-inch 4K2K (~4,000 PPI) amplitude type LCoS microdisplay and 0.7-inch 4K2K (~7,000 PPI) phase-only type LCoS spatial light modulator (SLM) can achieve 1~2 ms response time at T=45 o C. Meanwhile, the phase linearity, precision and accuracy of 4K2K LCoS-SLM were assessed in this work. These new LCoS schemes will potentially be utilized in color-sequential, holographic, virtual and augmented reality display.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
