The load-bearing antenna approach for state-of-the-art aero-vehicle structure has been made for military aircraft in recent studies. This study presents the structural design and development of multiband aero-vehicle smart skin antenna which has been developed as a simplified structured load-bearing antenna panel compared with recent studies for aircraft. A multifunctional concept of aircraft structure combines structural and electrical functions to single structural component. The structural function of multiband aero-vehicle smart skin antenna is load-bearing member of aircraft, and its electrical function is antenna for communication and navigation of aircraft. The radar cross section and drag reduction could be achieved by using sandwich structure and composite material. Through sequential design and development process, multiband aero-vehicle smart skin antenna successfully demonstrated the design, fabrication, and structural integrity of a load-bearing multifunction antenna component subjected to flight load conditions. This study concentrated on the computational analysis using finite element to validate the structural design of multiband aero-vehicle smart skin antenna structure. In addition, structural test results were briefly introduced to compare with the analysis results. The prototype of multiband aero-vehicle smart skin antenna was fabricated and tested for the verification of each analysis within the desirable tolerance.
The purpose of VDR capsule is to maintain a stored information securely and retrievably in the extreme environment like voyage incident. This study shows the modellings, the analyses and the experiments of the survivability test of penetration, high and low temperature fire. The capsule housing is used to protect capsule against penetration and the influences of its thickness are studied by the modelling and analysis of penetration using LS-DYNA. The phase change material and thermal insulation material are used to protect capsule against high and low temperature fire test. The thermal characteristics of various volume ratios of phase change material to thermal insulation material were conducted. Also the tests were conducted to confirm the structural and thermal reliability.
A large satellite communication terminal on the truck shall be designed ruggedly against a disturbance for holding a position which satisfies communication performance. Especially. A design considering a wind is essential for getting into a communication with a satellite in a strong-wind condition. This paper suggests a experimental method to analyze performance of a radio wave and the aiming accuracy by wind vibration. And it analyzes the improvement and vibrational effect on a random-excitation of a structure caused by nonlinear strong wind.

큐슈대학교 대학원 인간환경학부ABSTRACT Recently, the medium-low level radioactive waste from nuclear power plant must be transported from temporary storage to the final repository. Medium-low level radioactive waste, which is composed mainly of the liquid ion exchange resin, has been consolidated with cementitious material in the plastic or iron container. Since cementitious material is brittle, it would generate cracks by impact load during transportation, signifying leakage of radioactive ray. In order to design the safety transporting equipment, there is a need to check the compressive strength of the current waste. However, because it is impossible to measure strength by direct method due to leakage of radioactive ray, we will estimate the strength indirectly by the dynamic modulus of elasticity. Therefore, it must be identified the relationship between of strength and dynamic modulus of elasticity. According to the waste acceptance criteria, the compressive strength of cement based solid is defined as more than 3.44 MPa (500 psi). Compressive strength of the present solid is likely to be significantly higher than this baseline because of continuous hydration of cement during long period. On this background, we have tried to produce the specimens of the 28 day's compressive strength of 3 to 30 MPa having the same material composition as the solid product for the medium-low level radioactive waste, and analyze the relationship between the strength and the dynamic modulus of elasticity. By controling the addition rates of AE agent, we made the mixture containing the ion exchange resin and showing the target compressive strength (3~30 MPa). The dynamic modulus of elasticity of this mixtures is 4.1~10.2 GPa, about 20 GPa lower in the equivalent compressive strength level than that of ordinary concrete, and increasing the discrepancy according to increase strength. The compressive strength and the dynamic modulus of elasticity show the liner relationship.
