The aim of this paper is to investigate trade unionists leaders' perspective on Industry 4.0. Questionnaires and interviews were carried out. Two conclusions were pointed out: a fragmented understanding of the concept and the low participation of workers in the implementation process. Looking forward to a just transition, the improvement of either the conceptual grasp and the workers' participation are necessary.
A sociedade moderna apresenta um modelo insustentável de consumo, que busca de modo constante crescer economicamente, visando à obtenção de maiores lucros, acima da capacidade limite dos recursos naturais, baseado em um sistema que promove grande geração de resíduos sólidos. Tal modelo tem propiciado uma série de impactos ambientais e vem trazendo consequências negativas para a população. Este trabalho propôs verificar a aplicabilidade de uma metodologia de pegada ecológica como ferramenta para avaliar a sustentabilidade, quanto ao montante total de resíduos sólidos urbanos produzidos em 11 municípios no estado de Alagoas. Os resultados indicaram que, em 2016, a área de estudo apresentou uma pegada ecológica per capita de 0,1925 hectare global. No município de Olho d’Água das Flores, a pegada ecológica total mostrou que em 2016 seria necessária uma área de 3.400 hectares globais para sustentar o atual sistema de geração de resíduos sólidos. A pesquisa tornou notória a preocupação acerca da temática, visto que o cenário para 2035 é ainda mais alarmante.
Changes in land use cause a mosaic of areas in the landscape with different uses and coverage. This condition compromises soil nutrient stocks, especially phosphorus (P). In this sense, this study aimed to determine the concentrations of extractable and total phosphorus in 04 soil classes (Yellow Argisol, Litholic Neosol, Entisol and Planosol), 04 uses and covers (Open Native Caatinga, Dense Native Caatinga, Agriculture and Pasture) of the soil, in 04 depths (0-10, 10-20, 20-30 and 30-40 cm). To determine the extractable P, the Mehlich 1 and colorimetric reading were used. Total phosphorus was determined by sulfur digestion and colorimetry. The results of extractable and total P concentrations were higher for the Argisol and Planosol classes. It was observed that there were reductions in extractable P concentrations between the soil layers as the soil profile deepened. Depths between 0-20 cm generally showed higher concentrations of extractable and total phosphorus in agriculture. Among the four soil classes studied, the highest average values of extractable and total P stocks occurred in Litholic Neosols and Planosols, mainly due to agricultural use. P deficiency has been a limiting factor to agricultural productivity and, especially in the Agreste region of Pernambuco, where the main soil classes under natural cover have low levels of available and total P.
