AISTRACTThe cited references pertain primarily to the following aerodynamic information on ring wings, a.so known as annular wings or circular wirgs, calculation of circumferential velocity and pressure diitribution, studies on flow separation phenomena at the wing leading and trailing edges, measurement of lift, drag and pitching moment, application of linearized theory to subsonic and supersonic gas flow, theory and measurement of vortex drag, measurement of threedimensiunal turbulent boundary layer, determination of flutter using linearized equations, theory of stationary, inviscid, incompressible flow around the wing, studies on drag reduction, studies on interference effects of ar axisymmettic fuselage or a struit on wing pressure distributionis, wind tunnel tests of wings with and without a fitselage, and determination of optimum shape.
This report presents a brief summary of the results of recent studies conducted on spacecraft sterilization. A recapitulation of the advantages and disadrantages offered by various sterilizing agents and methods is included. Also included are clean room requirement, and concepts, personnel requirements for sterile vehicle assembly, concepts for the sterilization canister, handling and transportation requirenents for the spacecraft and bus, concepts for termina-heat sterilizaticn, and the potential contamination problems existing as the lander separates from the bun.
1)Present methods of sterilization that are mcst promising, and the effects these rnethods have on materials for vehicle components. 2) Processing and packaging practices as related to fabrication and assembly, and the problems existing with these practices. 3) Practices being developed and/or pursued to permit handling of the sterilized vehicles up to time of launch. 4) Procedures being used to measure cleanliness level in the sterilization laboratory.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
