The use of TLM-TD (Transmission-line Modeling Method Time Domain) to analyze problems of high frequency transient behavior of grounding systems is presented. A set of TLM numerical simulation was developed for different grounding configurations, usually employed to protect electrical installation in high or low voltages. Rods, wires or grids can compose the configurations, which are excited by lightning currents. Results were obtained to compare TLM method with other references. In addition, an investigation on the use of stratified or non-stratified soil was developed.
Validating measurements of electromagnetic field in near-field zone is a general target in research within electromagnetism area. This paper aims to present the results obtained from measurements and simulations of near-fields generated by a stand-alone electronic device. Measurements were performed in an anechoic chamber using probes connected by optical fibers as well as simulations using commercial software and own codes based on TLM-TD method.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
