Three new records of Agaricales species from the Colombian Caribbean region are presented: Agrocybe pediades (Fr.) Fayod, Macrocybe titans (H.E. Bigelow & Kimbr.) Pegler, Lodge & Nakasone, and Podaxis pistillaris (L.) Fr. Descriptions, photographs, and illustrations of the macroscopic and microscopic features of each species are presented, as well as a brief discussion of their distribution.
The Agaricales are the largest clade of mushroom-forming fungi, in Colombia, with 544 species of the approximately 16,000 species currently recognized worldwide in the phylum Basidiomycota. We document seven species of Agaricaceae for the first time from the Colombian Caribbean region. Two of these species are newly recorded from the country: Leucoagaricus lilaceus Singer and Leucoagaricus roseilividus (Murrill) E. Ludw. Five species are reported from the Colombian Caribbean for the first time: Agaricus griseorimosus Pegler, Chlorophyllum hortense (Murrill) Vellinga, Leucoagaricus rubrotinctus (Peck) Singer, Leucocoprinus cepistipes (Sowerby) Pat., and L. venezuelanus Dennis.
Los hifomicetos acuáticos son hongos microscópicos que han sido poco estudiados en ríos tropicales y que cumplen un importante papel en la descomposición de la materia orgánica vegetal en los ecosistemas lóticos. El objetivo de este trabajo fue determinar los hifomicetos acuáticos presentes en la parte media del río Gaira (norte de Colombia). Se analizaron muestras cualitativas de espuma del río y de hojas de tres especies vegetales nativas dominantes en el área de estudio (Ficus tonduzii,Zygia longifolia y Clusia multiflora) almacenadas en el lecho del río. Se identificaron diez géneros que incluían cuatro especies: Diplocladiella scalaroides, Heliscus submersus, Alatospora acuminata y Flabellospora crassa. En la parte media del río Gaira se registraron por primera vez los géneros Diplocladiella, Triscelophorus, Actinospora, Lemonniera, Alatospora, Flabellospora y Heliscus. El estudio evidenció la gran diversidad de hifomicetos acuáticos de la Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta.
