A fin de mantenerse activas las organizaciones deben contar con tecnología de punta que facilite su identificación en un mundo globalizado; la forma más fácil, sencilla y económica es haciendo uso de la red de redes. Es aquí donde comienza el trabajo más complicado y al que los administrativos poco valor le dan y mucho menos invierten: dotar de seguridad el activo más valioso de cualquier Institución: la Información. El presente artículo reflexiona sobre los riesgos a los que se expone la información si no se surten las mínimas normas de seguridad: manejo, manipulación, cuidado y asistencia, entre otras. Se resalta que las organizaciones y usuarios tienen la oportunidad de desarrollar de forma fácil actividades desde cualquier lugar, siempre que se tenga en cuenta la cultura de la capacitación y se cuente con planes de respuesta a incidentes, de manera que ellas puedan seguir prestando sus servicios, inclusive si no se tiene el control de la funcionalidad de internet.

In recent years, the Internet has evolved till become the Internet of Things (IoT for its acronym). This is one of the most important and significant inventions of all humanity, generating a direct impact on the way of how people live, think and act. It is one of the most used terms by anyone who talks about intelligent connectivity. Internet of things changes everything, is the answer to connect to the network an incredible number of people and link everyday objects, which are equipped with sensors, actuators and communication technologies and they are used to exchange information from the physical world through the Internet, offering data in real time and monitored through the network. Thanks to IoT, more and more companies are integrating small sensors to real-world objects, which provide information about almost everything that can be measured, so the amount of information circulating through networks grows exponentially. Smart cities are a good example of the benefits that IoT brings, by improving the quality of life of people with the services that are offered in an efficient and sustainable way. The installation of IoT brings great challenges focused on information security in organizations, but also opportunities for development in all areas of daily life and excellent ideas for innovation.

Technology plays a major role in the development of the economy of a country and in general in organizations. It is known that it is used in the massive media, the Internet, known by society, which favors all, in this case banking, which allows its users facilities as the constant development of technology and easy setup supports, and also neglecting safety. In addition to the vulnerabilities in the configuration, technology, humans, applications, platforms, among others; exploited by Cybercriminals organizations operating at an international level, causing incalculable losses to the banking system, the worrying thing is that is growing. However, some banks are required to meet minimum safety standards, there will always be risks, in this way it won´t be possible to achieve information security one hundred percent.

Introduction: This article is a product of the review of the "Vulnerability of information, on the Internet of Things", developed from the Juan de Castellanos University Foundation in 2021. Methods: Review of articles and relevant literature on the exposure of information and some vulnerabilities in devices that are part of the Internet of Things (IoT). Results: Information, as one of the most valuable assets, is essential, which is why it is important to have technology, devices that are part of the IoT, despite vulnerabilities. Conclusions: Keeping information secure has become a challenge, because it is one of the most important assets of any organization. Its manipulation requires many actors and involves many factors, making it is difficult to control and protect. The constant emergence of technology and their applications in various fields, along with their relative ease of use and smaller sizes, have made significant inroads possible; we must accept that they are a part of the IoT. Originality: In the bibliographic review of the information, which results from the use of technology, how the IoT is vulnerable and even more so when it is configured with the Internet. Limitation: Technology is becoming more and more dependent on it, despite the vulnerabilities of IoT devices and the Internet.
