Errors are found in the authors published equation coefficients for the modified Apelblat equation. Backcalculated mole fraction solubilities based on the published equation coefficients differ significantly from the back-calculated values that the authors reported. 1 (10)
Several
mathematical errors in the published paper by Zhao and
co-workers are identified. The errors pertain to the calculated equation
coefficients for the polynomial version of the combined nearly ideal
binary solvent (CNIBS)/Redich-Kister and for the Combined Jouyban–Acree–van’t
Hoff equation. In the case of the CNIBS/Redlich–Kister equation
the authors’ tabulated equation coefficients give 100 times
the mole fraction solubility of olaparib, and not the mole fraction
solubility as the authors’ equation implies.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
