The curriculum is one component that has a strategic role in the formation of graduate character. Educational institutions have the authority to develop their curriculum in accordance with the development of society (social needs), the world of work (industrial needs), the development of science and profession (professional needs), as well as the specificity and superiority of educational institutions (core character building). The curriculum of college peculiarities developed as a course of personality character forming of learners. The course of keaswajaan (Nahdlatul ‘Ulama / ke-NU-an) is a study material that aims to build a normative framework and Islamic charity according to the vision and mission of each college. This chapter aims to analyze and find the concept of character values in the curriculum of keaswajaan.
<p>This paper attempts to examine the important role of social capital in the meninges-forces madrasah education quality. Madrasah as national education subsystem has a heavy burden in carrying out the mandate of the law. The biggest problem is the activity of improving the quality of education that is determined by the achievement of the ultimate goal of education effectively and more efficiently. That goal is the realization of academic ability, moral and social. Structure and values of the communities around it is actually a social capital that should be used by the madrassa to improve the quality of education. Social capital is a means of achieving national education goals. </p><p><br /><strong>Abstrak</strong></p><p>Tulisan ini mencoba mengkaji peran penting modal sosial dalam peningkatan mutu pendidikan madrasah. Madrasah sebagai subsistem pendidikan nasional memiliki beban yang berat dalam mengemban amanat undang-undang. Problem terbesar adalah kegiatan meningkatkan mutu pendidikan yang ditentukan oleh ketercapaian tujuan akhir pendidikan secara efektif dan lebih efisien. Tujuan itu adalah terwujudnya kemampuan akademik, moral dan sosial. Struktur dan nilainilai yang dimiliki masyarakat sekitar sebenarnya merupakan modal sosial yang seharusnya dimanfaatkan oleh madrasah untuk meningkatkan mutu pendidikannya. Modal sosial ini menjadi sarana mencapai tujuan pendidikan nasional. </p>
At this time universities are under pressure from the government to show maximum results on funds that have been given by the government. Good university governance is now a hot topic. There are six things to consider in managing a good university: governance, academic program management, human resources, funding, college assets, and quality assurance, which is interesting to examine further how the efforts of state Islamic universities in developing good governance to create the quality of education especially postinstitutional transformation from the State Islamic Institute (IAIN) or State Islamic High School (STAIN) became State Islamic University (UIN).
Studies on the development of teaching materials have been dominated by a pedagogical orientation to develop learning objectives, strategies, and evaluation. Not many studies have been carried out on the scientific structure of teaching materials. This study tries to examine the relationship between Islamic education teaching materials in the sub-chapter of Al-Qur’an based on the authoritative Qur'anic exegesis. Studying Islamic education teaching materials from the reference sources aims to ensure the quality of the teaching materials. By focusing the study on analyzing the materials about the stories and models of the prophet Adam and Ayub, through the critical discourse analysis method on how the sources are used, and how the context of the material is presented, the results of this study reveal that the materials teaching of Islamic education, about the story of prophet Adam and Ayub, do not refer to the books of Qur’anic exegesis. The explanation model is textual. Partial values are provided, such as the repentance of the prophet Adam and the patience of Ayub. Therefore, this study recommended that the development of Islamic education teaching materials in the chapter of the prophet stories refer to the authoritative Qur’anic interpretation books so that the materials are richer, better in quality, and actual.
