This research attempts to provide a platform to help sustain Malay folklore that is forgotten over time. Thus, an interactive 2D animation about the Tale of Mousedeer and Crocodile or 'Hikayat Sang Kancil & Buaya' was proposed as a new alternative of folklore storytelling to enhance user experience. There are three main objectives in this study. Firstly, to identify the main factors contributing to the abandoning of the Malay folklore. Secondly, to analyse the existing tools and media available related to sustaining Malay folklore. Lastly, to design an interactive animation to help sustain Malay folklore by adapting it into the modern world through technology. The research methods used in this research were both qualitative and quantitative, to help obtain information, opinions, and ideas related to the research from the view of professionals from various backgrounds. The technology used is motion sensor technology using Leap Motion Controller to enable the interactivity between the animation and the user. The outcomes from this study shows that the respondents enjoy this new platform for Malay folklore storytelling. As a conclusion, this research helps to sustain the Malay folklore from the being swallowed by the modernization.
The online allocation of course resources is a part of the field of cloud computing. Studying the allocation of digital story course resources through cloud computing architecture can not only meet the requirements of cloud computing resource allocation, but also improve the utilization efficiency of digital story course resources. This paper mainly proposes an application-oriented resource allocation algorithm based on deep learning. This online allocation algorithm mainly quantifies the characteristics of the data, and more accurately creates the server resources required by the digital story course. In addition, the workload prediction model is integrated into the online allocation algorithm, which can Ensure that curriculum resources and teaching are more matched, so as to give full play to the value of resource use.
In Malaysia, cartoon and comic arts is a branch of art that reflects the identity and the culture of this nation. The golden age of local cartoon and comic arts that occurred between the late 1970s and early 1990s has prompted the emergence of range of genres, local cartoon and comic styles from diverse generations of comic artist. Some of the well-known figures from this field are Allahyarham Rejabhad, Ibrahim Md. Nor (Ujang), Jaafar Taib, Saadon Ishak (Don), A. Mahmud, Sabariah Jais (Cabai) etc. However, as most of the cartoon and comic series from around that year do not get printed, it leads to the existence of the comic's artists as well as their works become virtually lesser known by several new generation of young people. The rapidity of information technology has strengthened the application of new media technology in dominating the communication of information among the society, particularly on the new generation. Hence, the exploitation of the new media technology such as internet, website, video and digital animation is seen to be able to help in introducing the art of Malaysia's cartoon and comic arts globally. This research is conducted as an initiative towards the conservation of Malaysia's cartoon and comic arts in order to ensure its sustainability through the transformation of these arts into digital documentation form. Early research has solely focused on the redesign of characters' traits from several works of Gila-Gila Malay humor magazine cartoon and comic between the late 70s and early 90s that was conducted through the utilization of 3D remodeling digital application.
