Literacy is used as a learning process to be more effective in schools, in order to make students more skilled in finding and obtaining the information needed. This research is motivated by various problems that occur in literacy learning in elementary schools. This study aims to analyze the implementation of reading literacy and its effect on the results of language learning abilities of fourth grade students. This research uses descriptive qualitative research. The subjects in this study included vice principals, fourth grade homeroom teachers, and fourth grade students. The method used in this research is observation, interview, and documentation. The data obtained in this study is using Miles and Huberman qualitative data analysis techniques in the form of reduction, display, and conclusion drawing or verification. The results of the study show the process of applying reading literacy habits to Indonesian subjects. The implementation of Indonesian language learning on the theme 5 my heroes, in developing reading literacy habits the teacher teaches to adjust learning methods and media that will make students better understand my hero material. At the stage of developing reading literacy habits on the theme of 5 heroes, it was carried out well by fourth grade elementary school students.
