Purpose The purpose of this study was to explore the expression of TNF-α and NF-κB/p65 in Lichen planus skin lesions and their correlation with the pathogenesis of Lichen planus. Patients and Methods The case group consisted of 30 individuals diagnosed with LP based on clinical and histopathologic examination. The control group consisted of 10 individuals from an Orthopedic Department with normal skin. TNF-α and NF-κB/p65 expression in skin tissue samples was detected by immunohistochemistry. Results The immunohistochemical results showed that TNF-α and NF-κB/p65 expression levels were significantly higher in LP skin lesions than normal skin tissues (P ≤ 0.05). Positive TNF-α staining mainly occurred in the cytoplasm of keratinocytes of the stratum granulosum, stratum spinosum, and stratum basale in the epidermis and lymphocytes in the superficial dermis. Positive NF-κB/p65 staining mainly occurred in the nucleus and cytoplasm of keratinocytes of the stratum spinosum and stratum basale in the epidermis and lymphocytes in the superficial dermis. Conclusion TNF-α and NF-κB/p65 are overexpressed in cutaneous LP. The two are positively correlated in LP, suggesting that they both play essential roles in the pathogenesis of LP.
Zinc nitride films were deposited by ion sources-assisted magnetron sputtering with the use of Zn target (99.99% purity) on 7059 glass substrates. The films were characterized by XRD, SEM and EDS, the results of which show that the polycrystalline zinc nitride thin film can be grown on the glass substrates, the EDS spectrum confirmed the chemical composition of the films and the SEM images revealed that the zinc nitride thin films have a dense structure. Ultraviolet-visible-near infrared spectrophotometer was used to study the transmittance behaviors of zinc nitride thin films, which calculated the optical band gap by Davis Mott model. The results of the fluorescence emission spectra show the zinc nitride would be a direct band gap semiconductor material.
In order to survey the time-varying effect on shield tunnel lining structure, rigidity reduce in the Homogeneous Ring Design Theory is introduced. There are three methods to evaluate the rigidity reduction caused by the aging effect. The first is the bending rigidity analysis method, which considers that the bending rigidity changes with the time-dependent stress and strain. The second is the method named the equivalent moment of inertia; the last is aging coefficient method. With the Homogeneous Ring Design Theory, the internal forces and displacement of the shield tunnel segment lining can be calculated. Based on the preliminary results, using the 1st method, the reduced rigidity and the long-time displacement at different instants of time can be calculated. It is found that the concrete shrinkage and creep effect can’t be ignored in the segment design. The survey is beneficial to monitor the deformation of tunnel lining, and the maintenance of the segments. It will make the tunnel work steadily and safely during the using period.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
