ABSTRAKRencana Pelaksanaan Pembelajaran merupakan panduan mengajar yang disusun guru dalam rangka mencapai tujuan pembelajaran. Namun, sebagian besar guru belum menyadari arti pentingnya Rencana Pelaksanaan Pembelajaran ini. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui: faktor-faktor yang menjadi bahan pertimbangan guru saat menyusun Rencana Pelaksanaan Pembelajaran, kualitas penerapan Rencana Pelaksanaan Pembelajaran di kelas, dan tingkat penerapan Rencana Pelaksanaan Pembelajaran di dalam pelaksanaan pembelajaran di kelas. Penelitian ini merupakan studi kasus dan dilakukan di kelas 10 dan 11 SMA Dian Harapan Jakarta. Data dikumpulkan dengan empat macam teknik: (1) angket yang diberikan kepada guru dan siswa, (2) wawancara dengan guru dan kepala sekolah, (3) telaah dokumen RPP, dan (4) observasi kelas. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa faktor-faktor yang menjadi bahan pertimbangan guru saat menyusun Rencana Pelaksanaan Pembelajaran adalah karakteristik siswa, tujuan belajar, kegiatan belajar mengajar dan materi pelajaran. Tiga kualitas penerapan Rencana Pelaksanaan Pembelajaran di kelas: (1) pelaksanaan pembelajaran di kelas berjalan dengan lancar, (2) kegiatan yang tercantum dalam Rencana Pelaksanaan Pembelajaran tidak diterapkan di kelas, dan kegiatan yang tidak tercantum dalam Rencana Pelaksanaan Pembelajaran terjadi di kelas. Tingkat penerapan Rencana Pelaksanaan Pembelajaran di dalam kelas tergolong tinggi. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari persentase kegiatan dalam Rencana Pelaksanaan Pembelajaran yang diterapkan di kelas adalah sebesar (81%). Oleh karena itu, pihak guru perlu terus membuka diri terhadap peningkatan kompetensi profesional guru. <p>Speaking skills need to be taught to students from an early age. These skills affect students’ ability to communicate in society. The purpose of this study is to improve students’ speaking skills by using the role playing method. Hopefully, through this learning method, students can improve their speaking skills according to aspects in oral communication. The research method used was Classroom Action Research (CAR) which was conducted in two cycles. The subjects of this research were 33 students in grade 1 XYZ Elementary School Gunungsitoli, Nias. The research was carried out from August until November 2017. The instruments used in the research were the following: class teacher and peer teacher observation sheets, speaking skills rubric sheets, students’ questionnaire sheets, and researcher’s reflection journal. The collected data was analyzed quantitatively and qualitatively. The conclusion is that the role playing method can improve students’ speaking skills including aspects of pronunciation (87.87%), tone/intonation (87.12%), fluency (87.87%), and self-confidence (80.30%). The steps of the role playing method that can improve students’ speaking skills are as follows: 1) preparing the scenario, 2) explaining the targeted competency, 3) providing the place, time, and tools to be used, 4) dividing participants into groups, 5) assigning the roles, 6) practicing the role playing, 7) doing the assessment, and 8) evaluating.</p><p class="abstrak"><strong>BAHASA INDONESIA ABSTRAK: </strong>Keterampilan berbicara perlu dilatihkan kepada siswa sejak usia dini. Keterampilan ini berdampak pada komunikasi siswa dalam kehidupan bermasyarakat. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah meningkatkan keterampilan berbicara siswa dengan menggunakan metode bermain peran. Harapannya, melalui metode pembelajaran ini, siswa dapat memaksimalkan keterampilan berbicaranya sesuai aspek-aspek dalam komunikasi lisan. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus. Subjek penelitian ini adalah 33 siswa kelas I Sekolah Dasar XYZ Gunungsitoli, Nias. Penelitian ini diadakan pada Agustus sampai dengan November 2017. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah lembar observasi guru kelas dan guru sejawat, rubrik keterampilan berbicara, lembar angket siswa, dan jurnal refleksi peneliti. Data yang didapat kemudian diolah secara kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah metode bermain peran dapat meningkatkan keterampilan berbicara siswa yang meliputi aspek pelafalan (87,87%), nada/intonasi (87,12%), kelancaran (87,87%), dan rasa percaya diri (80,30%). Adapun langkah-langkah metode berperan yang dapat meningkatkan keterampilan berbicara adalah sebagai berikut: 1) menyiapkan skenario, 2) menjelaskan kompetensi yang ingin dicapai, 3) menyediakan tempat, waktu, dan alat yang akan digunakan, 4) membagi peserta dalam kelompok, 5) menetapkan peran, 6) berlatih bermain peran, 7) melakukan penilaian, dan 8) mengevaluasi.</p>
During the process of learning Biology, it was found that grade VIII students SMP ABC Cikarang lacked of discipline. Therefore it disturbed the classroom circumst research, to solve the problem occurred, the researcher implemented a specific rule which was Raise Your Hand before Speaking. This research was aimed to see whether the discipline of the students in grade VIII could be and implementation of this specific rule. The method used in this research was classroom action research method. It used the cycle model which was done in cyclical and it was made reflectively. The research was completed after 2 cycles with 25 students as the subject of the research. The results of data were analyzed using descriptive statistical techniques and descriptive qualitative. The instrument used to collect data is a student questionnaire, observation sheet for student's discipline, student interview sheet, mentor's feedback sheet and researcher's journal reflection. The data from all the instruments showed that in the second cycle the discipline indicators achievement belongs to very good criteria. This research aims to discover the implementation on students' engagement in learning about probability. The method used in this research was experimental with non-equivalent control group design. sampling technique was census. The data was colle questionnaire and analyzed by using non were Mann-Whitney U-test and Wilcoxon Signed alpha level 0.05. The result showed that: 1) difference on students' engagement between before treatment in the group that was taught without brainstorming; 2) there was significant difference on students' engagement between before and after treatment in the group that is taught with brainstorming; and 3) there was no significant differenc students' engagement between the group that is taught with brainstorming and the group that is taught without brainstorming. The result of this research indicates that brainstorming BSTRACT scover the effect of brainstorming implementation on students' engagement in learning about . The method used in this research was quasiequivalent control group design. The sampling technique was census. The data was collected through questionnaire and analyzed by using non-parametric tests; they test and Wilcoxon Signed-Rank test with The result showed that: 1) there was no significant difference on students' engagement between before and after treatment in the group that was taught without brainstorming; 2) there was significant difference on students' engagement between before and after treatment in the group that is taught with brainstorming; and 3) there was no significant difference on students' engagement between the group that is taught with that is taught without brainstorming. The children in Wijaya Kusuma District had potentials in Art but they had not fully realized and developed because of the middle to lower economic and social situation. Those children also had a great desire to learn, but no one facilitated. On the other hand, their parents could not see the art potentials in children yet, so they did not encourage and appreciate children's talents in art. The purpose of this community service was to provide the arts workshop based on their respective talents and interests. The method applied was grouping the children according to their interests and talents, namely singing, drawing or crafting, and dancing. The workshop was given for two months or eight meetings. The exhibition and children's art performances were attended by parents and the surrounding community at the last meeting. The results of the activity showed the participation of children in singing, drawing or crafting activities, and dancing. The Art exhibitions presented the paintings from used paper, pencil cases from paper pulp, and dolls from eggs. The Art performances were in the form of dances and songs. The enthusiasm of parents and the community was also seen by their visits to the exhibitions and art performances.
