For a better service level of a train operating plan, we propose an integrated optimization method of train planning and train scheduling, which generally are optimized, respectively. Based on the cost analysis of both passengers travelling and enterprises operation, and the constraint analysis of trains operation, we construct a multiobjective function and build an integrated optimization model with the aim of reducing both passenger travel costs and enterprise operating costs. Then, a solving algorithm is established based on the simulated annealing algorithm. Finally, using as an example the Changzhutan intercity rail network, as an example we analyze the optimized results and the influence of the model parameters on the results.
Background Brucellosis poses a serious threat to human and animal health, particularly in developing countries such as China. The Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region is one of the most severely brucellosis-endemic provinces in China. Currently, the host immune responses functioning to control Brucella infection and development remain poorly understood. The aim of this study is to further clarify the key immunity characteristics of diverse stages of brucellosis in Inner Mongolia. Methods We collected a total of 733 blood samples from acute (n = 137), chronic (n = 316), inapparent (n = 35), recovery (n = 99), and healthy (n = 146) groups from the rural community of Inner Mongolia between 2014 and 2015. The proportions of CD4+, CD8+, Th1, Th2, and Th17 T cells in peripheral blood and the expression of TLR2 and TLR4 in lymphocytes, monocytes and granulocytes were examined using flow cytometry analysis. The differences among the five groups were compared using one-way ANOVA and the Kruskal–Wallis method, respectively. Results Our results revealed that the proportions of CD4+ and CD8+ T cells were significantly different among the acute, chronic, recovery, and healthy control groups (P < 0.05), with lower proportions of CD4+ T cells and a higher proportion of CD8+ T cells in the acute, chronic, and recovery groups. The proportion of Th1 cells in the acute, chronic, and inapparent groups was higher than that in the healthy and recovery groups; however, there was no significant difference between patients and healthy individuals (P > 0.05). The proportion of Th2 lymphocytes was significantly higher in the acute and healthy groups than in the inapparent group (P < 0.05). The proportion of Th17 cells in the acute group was significantly higher than that in the healthy control, chronic, and inapparent groups (P < 0.05). Finally, the highest expression of TLR4 in lymphocytes, monocytes and granulocytes was observed in the recovery group, and this was followed by the acute, chronic, healthy control, and inapparent groups. There was a significant difference between the recovery group and the other groups, except for the acute group (P < 0.05). Moreover, a correlation in TLR4 expression was observed in lymphocytes, monocytes and granulocytes among the five groups (r > 0.5), except for the inapparent group between lymphocytes and granulocytes (r = 0.34). Conclusions Two key factors (CD8+ T cells and TLR4) in human immune profiles may closely correlate with the progression of brucellosis. The detailed function of TLR4 in the context of a greater number of cell types or tissues in human or animal brucellosis and in larger samples should be further explored in the future. A three-dimensional parametrized finite element model is established for the nonlinear analysis of the hydraulically expanded tube-to-tubesheet joint. Distribution of the residual contact pressure on the contact surface between the tube and the tubesheet is investigated. It is found that sealing circular bands exist on the contact surface which enhance the sealing of the joint since the residual contact pressures on the sealing circular bands are higher than on other positions. The sealing circular bands are located close to the two ends of the hole when it is not grooved, but they are located at the two brinks of the groove for a grooved hole and in the latter case, the residual contact pressures are even higher, reflecting that the joint with a grooved tube-sheet hole is more capable of sealing. Experiments and finite element calculations for the pull-out force of the joint are also performed for different expansion pressures and groove widths. Results show that with the increase of the groove width, the measured pull-out force increases significantly and becomes larger and larger than the calculated one, which is owing to the scratch on the contact surface between the tube and tubesheet.
For providing passengers with periodic operation trains and making trains’ time distribution better fit that of passengers, the multiperiod mixed train schedule is first proposed in this paper. It makes each type of train having same origin, destination, route, and stop stations operate based on a periodic basis and allows different types of train to have various operation periods. Then a model of optimizing multiperiod mixed train schedule is built to minimize passengers generalized travel costs with the constraints of trains of same type operating periodically, safe interval requirements of trains’ departure, and arrival times, and so forth. And its heuristic algorithm is designed to optimize the multiperiod mixed train schedule beginning with generating an initial solution by scheduling all types of train type by type and then repeatedly improving their periodic schedules until the objective value cannot be reduced or the iteration number reaches its maximum. Finally, example results illustrate that the proposed model and algorithm can effectively gain a better multiperiod mixed train schedule. However, its passengers deferred times and advanced times are a little higher than these of an aperiodic train schedule.
