The main aim of the present research was to study the possible teratogenic effects caused by the herbicide Paraquat-Gramoxone (1,1'dimetil-4,4'-bypiridilium dicloride) in nestlings female Wistar rats (Rattus norvegicus var. albinus), during the period of 7° to 9° days of embryonic development. Macroscopic analysis of the nestling showed lesions mainly in the areas of nose, eyelids and shoulders. Histological alterations were found also in the liver and kidney preparations.
