Abstract. Tris(acetylacetonato)gallium(III), C1sH2106Ga, M.W. 367.05, monoclinic, P21/c, a= 14.003 (4), b=7.588 (2), c=16-491 (3) A, fl= 99.00 (2)°; U= 1720.2 (7) A3; dramas = 1-41, dealt = 1"417 g cm -3 for Z=4; p(Cu Kc0=25"7 cm-k The compound was prepared by the reaction of GaCI3 with sodium acetylacetonate. Large, plate-like, orange crystals were grown from methanol. The final R was 0.060 for 1872 observed reflections used in the analysis. The 6 oxygen atoms of the three ligands form a nearly ideal octahedron around the gallium atom. The average Ga-O bond length is 1.952 (6) A, with an average ligand bite of 2.802 A.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
