Faraday effect and magnetic susceptibility investigations of rare‐earth garnets R3Ga5O12, where R = Y, Nd, Tb, Dy, Er, Tm, and R3Al5O12, where R = Y, Tb, Dy, Ho, Er, Tm, Yb, are made. For all the garnets the values of magneto‐optical Faraday parameters A, B, C and “effective” frequencies of transitions responsible for the rotation observed are defined. The obtained results are compared with similar investigations data in iron garnets.
The Magneto-Optical Spectra and Behaviour of the Joint Density of States of the Intermetallic Compounds RFeZ (R = Gd, Tb, Dy, Ho, Er) andYFe2 BY K.M. MUKIMOV, SH.M. SHARIPOV, and L.A. ERNAZAROVA The properties of the cubic Laves phase RMZ intermetallic compounds (R: rare-earth, M: 3d transition metal) have been extensively studied for a long
The Heavv Rare-Earth Contribution to the Electronic Structure 1) of the R F e 2 and R2Fe17 Intermetallic Compounds SH.M. SHARIPOV, K.M. MUKIMOV, and L.A. ERNAZAROVA BY Recent measurements of the magneto-optical equatorial Kerr -effect ( 6 ) spectra on the cubic Laves phase intermetallic compounds RFe2 (R = Gd, Tb, Dy, Ho, Er) and YFe2 showed that the structure of these spectra depends on the atomic number of r a r e -e a r t h s /l/. Such dependence is also observed in the spectra of the off-diagonal elements E and of the dielectric tensor and conductivity tensor, respectively. In this note w e represent m o r e data about
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
