The coronavirus pandemic, which has engulfed almost all countries and caused a global crisis, has dealt a significant blow to many sectors of the economy, including the tourism sector. The tourism industry found itself in uncertain working conditions, which caused significant changes in the functioning of tourism entities. The article analyzes the current status and identifies tendencies in the development of the world tourism market in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as systematizes the measures implemented by Ukraine and other countries to stimulate and support the tourism industry. The contribution of tourism to the world GDP by the countries that are the most popular among tourists is analyzed. The percentage change in international tourist arrivals by region in 2020 and dynamics in destinations that were the most popular among tourists around the world in 2018–2020 is considered. It is identified that as a result of the pandemic, the indicators of tourism activities have decreased significantly, the tourism industry has suffered losses and there has been a significant reduction in tourist flows. The COVID-19 pandemic has caused a significant decrease in the number of international tourist arrivals in all countries. In addition, to achieve its goal, the article systematizes the measures to improve the tourism climate of countries, stimulation and support of the tourism industry both during the COVID-19 pandemic and the post-pandemic period. It is identified that among the measures to stimulate and support the tourism industry in most countries, the main focus is placed on domestic tourism, which is less dependent on the global coronavirus crisis and quarantine measures, as well as the introduction of online forms and the wider use of marketing and digital tools in the provision of tourist services. According to the results of the study, the authors substantiate the need to support the enterprises of the tourism industry and stimulate the demand for domestic tourism on the part of Ukrainian government.
Містичний туризм не дуже поширений в Україні, проте є інноваційним інструментом і новим перспективним напрямом покращення туристичної привабливості України, у т. ч. Львівської області та м. Львова. У статті проаналізовано можливості та перспективи розвитку містичного туризму в Україні на прикладі Львівської області. Виявлено, що Львівщина має значну кількість відомих містичних місць та об'єктів, чималий «містичний» потенціал, який потрібно розвивати, оскільки це принесе додаткові грошові надходження в економіку країни, збільшення туристичного потоку та розвиток суміжних галузей економіки. Висвітлено теоретичні аспекти розвитку містичного туризму як виду «темного» туризму та виділено його специфічні особливості. На основі досліджень підходів науковців наведено авторське бачення щодо трактування поняття «містичний туризм». Проаналізовано тенденції розвитку туризму у Львівській області та передумови розвитку містичного туризму. За результатами дослідження розроблено карту найбільш популярних містичних місць Львівщини, які сформовані шляхом позначення їх на мапі з розподілом за кількістю пошукових запитів у web-сервісі Google Trends. Проведено порівняльний аналіз пропозицій турів містичного характеру туристичними компаніями Львова та Києва. Запропоновано низку заходів для популяризації містичного туризму у Львівській області.
Coffee tourism is one of the types of gastronomic (culinary) tourism, which is a relatively new type of tourism and which requires a more detailed study and analysis of the dynamics of tourist flows in this scope. Coffee has been a popular beverage since ancient times and it occupies a special place in the culinary traditions of world cultures. That is why coffee tourism is becoming increasingly popular and becoming a forward looking type of tourism, as well as has a key role in preserving the historical and cultural traditions of the country or region. The article analyzes the specifics and current state of the world coffee tourism and identifies prospects for its development in Ukraine. The article also takes into consideration the main aspects of the coffee business development in the world and in Ukraine. In particular, the statistical trends among the leading countries in exports (Brazil, Switzerland, Germany) and imports (USA, Germany, France, Italy) of coffee in 2019 are highlighted. Comes with, Brazil is not only the main exporter of coffee, but also the world's largest manufacturer. The place and role of Ukraine as a consumer of coffee among European countries is determined. European countries are the largest importers of coffee in the world. The article provides a systematic overview of the largest coffee-producing countries and the main characteristics of their coffee tours. These countries have favorable natural and climatic conditions for growing coffee, which makes them ideal destinations for coffee tourism, as well as many other entertainments. Since the tourism industry is always very popular in the world among the population and the state, it is advisable to identify the premises and opportunities for the coffee tourism development in Ukraine. Prospects for the coffee tourism development in Ukraine, in particular in Lviv, due to the historical traditions and coffee consumption culture that have developed in Ukraine, are substantiated. A brief overview of the main tourist facilities and cafes of Lviv, excursions and other events related to coffee traditions, which will be interesting for tourists, is cited.
