This paper presents the syste processing aspects and measurement results o Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) named presented system is a C-band radar develop Warsaw University of Technology. The main was to develop a low-cost, small-size and lowhigh resolution dedicated for small aircrafts unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV). For th SARENKA SAR system using the Frequ Continuous Wave (FMCW) concept was design first field tests of the system were done using on a lake as a target. As a result Inverse SAR the target were obtained. In this paper the pre this experiment are presented and discussed.
The paper presents a concept of using universal software radio peripheral (USRP) as a hardware platform for frequency modulation continuous wave (FMCW) synthetic aperture radar (SAR). The concept presented has been successfully verified through several measurements in the laboratory, as well as in real scenarios where the USRP-based SAR radar was mounted on a ground moving platform and SAR images of the surrounding area were created. The results obtained show that USRP hardware can be used successfully in low cost SAR projects, as well as a system for testing FMCW analog front ends. Moreover, due to its small size the proposed system can be used as a direct digital synthesizer (DDS) and analog digital converter (ADC) for low cost systems dedicated for small ultralight aircrafts or medium size unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV).
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
