A theoretical investigation of a hydromagnetic boundary layer flow of Carreau fluid over a stretching cylinder with surface slippage and temperature jump is presented in this paper. It is assumed that heat transfer characteristics of the flow follows Cattaneo-Christov heat flux model base on conventional Fourier’s law with thermal relaxation time. The spectral relaxation method (SRM) is being utilized to provide the solution of highly nonlinear system of coupled partial differential equations converted into dimensionless governing equations. The behaviour of flow parameters on velocity, temperature distributions are sketched as well as analyzed physically. The result indicates that the temperature distribution decay for higher temperature jump and thermal relaxation parameters respectively.
Accurate dynamics of power converters are necessary to achieve good control performance. In this study, the dynamical model of the DC-DC buck converter is identified by the relay feedback method. The relay is connected in the closed loop to produce a limit cycle output. The important information of the oscillatory output is used for the identification. The relay is approximated using dual-input describing function (DIDF) in the mathematical modelling. DIDF can handle symmetric and asymmetric limit cycle outputs. The converter is modelled as a second-order plus dead-time system. Using the gain and phase angle criteria, analytical expressions are derived to estimate the dynamics. The converter dynamics obtained from the proposed method are compared with that estimated using the state-space averaging method. The model is also identified from the realtime experiment. To check the efficacy of the identified model, a model validation test is performed. I l current through inductor f s switching frequency f p_clk processor clock frequency
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
