Success in learning Physical Education (PE)is a benchmark for students to apply health values throughout their lives. Therefore, this study aims to investigate and evaluate factors related to the achievement of PE learning outcomes, namely Body Mass Index (BMI), Physical Fitness (PF), and learning motivation. A total of 75 male students from Madrasah Tsanawiyah (junior high school) in the city of Padang, West Sumatra, Indonesia participated in this study. Characteristics of the participants were grade eight aged ± 14.4 years, body height ± 152.9 cm, and body weight ± 53.5 kg. Data collection procedures consisted of anthropometric measurements, Indonesian physical fitness tests, questionnaires for learning motivation, and student report card scores for PE learning outcomes. Then, data were analyzed using path analysis. The results showed that BMI, PF, and learning motivation are several important factors to consider in achieving PE learning outcomes (P<0.05). Total overall direct and indirect influence through learning motivation is 72.42%. Of these three factors, learning motivation is the dominant factor affecting PE learning outcomes (24.90%), without neglecting PF (8.47%) and BMI (4.62%). In conclusion, students who have a good BMI and PF, are not enough to obtain optimal learning results without high learning motivation. Future research is important to analyze other factors that affect the learning outcomes of PE.

This research was aimed at revealing the students' intrinsic and extrinsic motivation toward the learning process of Physical, Sport and Health Education subject at SMP N 1 Kota Payakumbuh. This was a descriptive research. The population of the research was all of students (287) in grade VIII of SMP N 4 Kota Payakumbuh. By using random sampling technique, 20% (55 students) of the population were taken as the sample. The data were obtained by making use of the questionnaire of Gudman's scale. The data gathered then were analyzed by using statistic of descriptive percentage.Based on the results of data analysis, it was figured out that: 1) the students' intrinsic motivation toward Physical, Sport and Health Education subject at SMP N 4 Kota Payakumbuh is 44.6% (average), and 2) the students' extrinsic motivation toward Physical, Sport and Health Education subject is 41.8% (average). From these results, it is concluded that the students' motivation toward Physical, Sport and Health Education subject, in general, is in average category.
Kamal Firdaus, December 2012. The Aplication Learning in General School. The problem of this paper is about the facilities, utilities, teacher’s quality and quantity, participation and extra work as well as the future is pledge of application of physical and healt education learning in general school. The aims of this paper are physical domain, psychomotor, cognittif and affectif. The conslusions of this paper are :Training program developing sports is a part of an effort in increasing physical and spintual of human a quality. The aim of physical education is oriented to the curriculum. The aplication of physical education in school is an effort of athlete’s talentskoting.Suggestions of this paper are:To keep balance between learning in one side and an effort of sport achievement increasing in another side. The quantity and the quality of teachers is the main support to the process of teaching and learning. There is the need inereasl the school facilities in quantity a well as the quality
Many referees fail in following the physical capability test. The failure is caused by the low rate of physical fitness of the referees themselves. One of the factors that cause this condition is the physical training method. This research was aimed at knowing the effectiveness of the interval ekstensif training method and fartlek training method on the referees speed endurance. This research was a quantitative study and employed a quasi experimental design. The population of this research was 75 people = 37 had C3 licence, 13 people had C2 licence, 24 people had C1 licence and 1 person had FIFA licence. The sample was taken based on purposive sampling technique in which 20 referees were chosen. The technique of data collection was test and the instrument used was the physical capabilities test 20x150 meters. Finally the data was analyzed by using t test. The data analysis indicated that: The interval training method could improve speed endurance capabilities 20x150 meters with 21,75 > 2,26 (Mean pretest 30,86 and posttest 29,12 second). The fartlek training method could improve speed endurance capabilities 20x150 meters with 7,89 > 2,26 (Mean pretest 30,88 and postest 30,17 second). There was a significant difference between the interval ekstensif training method and fartlek training method on speed endurance capabilities 20x150 metres with 3,28 > 2,101. Based on the data above, it could be concluded that both training methods could improve the physical abilities of 20x150 meters; the interval ekstensive methods contributed a better influence than the fartlek methods. Furthermore it is suggested that all football referees use the interval ekstensive method and fartlek to improve the speed endurance capabilities of 20x150 meters.
