Isodityrosine, the diaryl ether moiety of the cyclic peptide class natural products responsible for fixation of their peptide conformations, has been successfully synthesized using electrochemical procedure for bromination, phenolic oxidation, and dehalogenation.

Synthesis and Antitumor Activity of Combretastatin D-4. -Combretastatin D-4 (IV) is synthesized using the electrochemical dimerization of phenol (I) as the key step.
