Generic competences are considered to be the ability of people to adapt to changes, relate to others and work collaboratively. The objective of this study was to compare the generic competences of university students from Peru and Cuba. The study sample consisted of 248 female students from public universities with current enrollment in Peru (127) and Cuba (121). The data collection was carried out using the questionnaire on generic competences of university students (CCGEU), the Cronbach's Alpha reliability value was .979, showing a high reliability of the instrument. The results show that the mean of generic competences in Peru is 3.88 and in Cuba is 3.84, which are adequate levels. In addition, the dimensions Systemic competence, Interpersonal competence and Instrumental competence show sufficient levels in both countries. It is concluded that the generic competences in Peru and Cuba reach adequate levels, so they were developed in university students in a similar way. These results may be due to the fact that the evaluated samples have adequately developed these competences that promote the relationship, integration and effective communication among peers in a constant social cooperation, teamwork and sense of leadership.
The objective of this research was to characterize the production of Latin American scientific literature on Zoom fatigue. A retrospective and descriptive study was conducted in which 41 manuscripts published in journals indexed in the Scopus database between January 2020 and December 2021 were analyzed. The variables studied were document frequency, scientific production by country, number of authors, institutional affiliation and scientific production by descriptor. It was found that 58.54% of the identified manuscripts are research articles. The country with the highest scientific production is the United States (46.34%); institutions in the Philippines and the United States stand out since they have the highest scientific production, and Journal of Loss and Trauma is the journal with the highest number of publications. Regarding affiliation, the authors belong to entities in the Philippines. It is necessary to continue researching on zoom fatigue, considering that it is currently widely used worldwide in organizations, but the effect or positive or negative impacts on the human being are not measured. This study aimed to show whether the theoretical model of the social skills construct, proposed by Gismero (2000), is invariant in male and female samples of Peruvian university students from Lambayeque. In order to meet the proposed objective, a non-experimental, cross-sectional, comparative psychometric design by hierarchical confirmatory procedures was chosen. Two samples of university students were used, one of 1,084 female students and the other of 1,043 male students. Both groups were applied the self-report of social skills (EHS). With the data obtained, a confirmatory factor analysis of the first-order factor structure of the social skills construct was performed in each group, based on the polychoric correlation matrix. The invariance of the scale according to sex was evaluated on the basis of the second-order factor structure, by means of multigroup confirmatory factor analysis of nested models. No significant differences in the fit to the data were found between the two-factor second-order factor structure and the alternative one-factor model. Consecutive tests of configurational invariance, disturbance, and first- and second-order metrics gave evidence, respectively, that the model structure, second-order factor errors, and first- and second-order loadings are equivalent in the two study samples. With the data from the study, it is concluded that the structure of the EHS scale is invariant to the sex variable in the Lambayeque context.
