This paper proposes a system that generates posters reflecting impression expressed by an adjective. The present system is composed of three parts: An impression estimate part, a poster generation part, and a poster modification part. The impression estimate part estimates an inputted impression word as an impression value. The poster generation part designs a poster integrating color scheme and fonts according to the impression value of an inputted impression word. Impression spaces are obtained using factor analysis of the data obtained in pre-experiments. The poster modification part uses the spaces to modify fonts and color scheme. Poster arrangements are modified by the combination of the method of cost functions and a rough sketch method by freehand drawings. The validity of the system is confirmed by the subject experiments.
