Stabilization ponds are easy to operate and their maintenance is simple. Treatment is carried out naturally and they are recommended in developing countries. The main disadvantage of these systems is large land area they occupy. The aim of this study was to perform an optimization of the wastewater treatment systems in a facultative pond, considering a mathematical analysis of the methodology to determine the model constrains organic matter. Matlab optimization toolbox was used for non linear programming. A facultative pond with the method was designed and then the optimization system was applied. The analyse meet the treated water quality requirements for the discharge to the water bodies. The results show a reduction of hydraulic retention time by 4.83 days, and the efficiency of of wastewater treatment of 84.16 percent.
Collaboration skills are essential for students when facing the working world in 21st-century society. The study aims to determine students' collaboration skills through inquiry and project-based learning in science. The descriptive method was implemented with surveys and interviews. The participants were 175 students from Junior High School. Data collection was carried out using collaborative skill observation sheets and an interview guide. The results showed that, in general, the collaboration skills of participants were categorized as high regarding the indicators of collaboration skills. The indicators consisted of contributing to group discussions (72.57 percent), working effectively in group discussions (77.14 percent), communicating in group activities (74.86 percent), and having responsibility for completing group assignments (75 percent). Therefore, teachers are advised to apply inquiry and project-based learning in science to improve student collaboration skills.
The emotional intelligence of employees can make employees have the desire to the turnover intention which can also be influenced by the level of job burnout employees. This research aims to investigate the effect of emotional intelligence on the turnover intention with job burnout as the mediating variable. This study uses a quantitative analysis method which aims to analyze the relationship between the observed variables and to confirm the theory using PLS-SEM analysis (Partial Least Square-Structural Equation Modeling). Respondent consists of 233 employees of PD. Bank BPR West Java who were selected using random sampling technique. The results showed that emotional intelligence, consisting of social competence and personal competence, positively affect turnover intention, characterized by the behaviors of thinking to quit, job search, and intending to quit. Emotional intelligence, consisting of social competence and personal competence, positively influences job burnout which can be seen from the aspect of exhaustion, depersonalization, and declining achievement. Employees experiencing a high level of emotional exhaustion will be likely to quit and look for new career opportunities. In other words, the higher the level of job burnout is, the higher the tendency of the employee to quit becomes.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
