The following study is concerned with the controlling and optimization of a switch reluctance machine (SRM) efficiency by a new method proposed for control. The direct force and energy control DEFC, a new method proposed in this work, is based on the direct torque control (DTC), thus in this control, it is directly controlled the energy and the force the simultaneously. This control aims to increase the efficiency of the SR motor and reduce the torque ripple and vibration of the motor. in this work, we applied three methods of control and the proposed method for controlling the switch reluctance motor, including the one that was suggested. in order to prove the efficiency of DEFC we compare the simulation result of it with the result of DEC, DFC, and conventional DTC strategies. We deduced from the findings that the suggested technique DEFC performed better than the other ways and reduced the torque ripple to 10 percent, which enhances the performance of the SRM.
