In view of its long durability as a stent and no migration, the s-stent is safe and useful for the management of pancreatic ductal strictures in patients with chronic pancreatitis.
Rapid progression of fibrosis could occur in A-AIH. Treatment response and long-term prognosis were good, and not different between patients with histologically acute and chronic hepatitis.
Long persistence of high levels of alanine aminotransferase would be one of clinical features for considering A-AIH along with conventional features. Histological diagnostic features should be applied for such patients. Guidelines for diagnosing A-AIH should be urgently drawn up.
